Always A Negative Score

I used to have Operation Flashpoint years ago, but had to return it to my friend. I saw this on Steam and had to buy it. I remember getting a lot of green checks for my score, but no matter how well I stay in formation and follow/complete objectives, I constantly get a negative score. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong?

Weird. I always get -200 to -400 on missions and I have no idea why.

You get negative points for damaging or killing your mates.

Maybe you have killed a mate or civilian and just didn't notice it ?

Did you really finished the objectives as they had to be done ? The way it was ordered to be done ?

Because one thing is for sure, you don't get negative points in this game, for doing everything right. You definitely messed up something.

I am playing this game since RELEASE, and this is probably about 12 years, I've never ever had negative points for doing everything right.

I am usually can't see any enemies, but if I do who knows if I actually kill them, but I aim for them. I know that there is that identifier that pops up by the crosshair for allies, so I know not to shoot them.
I am completing the objectives as ordered, but still red X's and negative points, and even had to "talk with the colonel."
There have been two times where I have been ordered to attack someone 300 meters away, but if I leave, then they tell me to come back to the formation. I had one mission where I was ordered to follow a group to a town and then after we secured the town, I (and the rest of the squad) was ordered to "return to formation" to my leader, who I thought was dead, 900 meters away.
Never seen any of this happen before.

Ok something weird happened. In this mission I killed/destroyed a bunch of stuff and got a massive negative score:

(the list of kills was so extensive it needed 2 sheets!)

But yeah, I dunno what's up with the negative score... I was hoping to reach 20.000 points on this one :(
