ECP Redux Performance
Hi guys,

Veteran of OFP I do enjoy playing it again on my modern system but I have an issue.

On " " " Heavy scenery " " " I do have only 30 fps using ECP Redux and DXDLL and when nothing is happening I do have 300+. I have the unofficial patched 2.01 version.

1920 x 1080 x 32 colors (16:09 correct ratio using Fagus's Mod)
Visibility 1500 (more is useless)
Low Terrain Quality
Visual Quality 11.23 (Max Default)
Direct 3D HW & TL

Also for more indicators :
File heap : 168
Memory : 2048
LOD : 7.500000
Limit LOD : 0.019000
Shadows LOD : 0.050000
Max Objects : 256
Cockpit Textures : 4096
Landscape Textures : 4096
Object Textures : 4096
Animated Textures : 64
Textures Drop Down : 4

Quite frankly I have the feeling that it is the trees textures which slow down everything, as I can see them being rendered 2 to 3 secs after spawning and causing the frame to drop from my max fps to 30.

Any ideas guys ?

Also,

looking around the internet it seems there's a lot of issue with the redux version of the mod (notably pathfinding, which I 100%M agree). Do you think I would be better to switch fro, Redux to ECP 1.085 ?

Pushing more the subject it seems that the problem come from the thing called the " Berghoff's Trees " looking at the README from the mod :

-----------------------
What has been replaced?
-----------------------

ISLANDS
Everon: Mr Burns Island Pack (WGL textures & Berghoff's trees)
Kolgujev: Mr Burns Island Pack (WGL textures & Berghoff's trees)
Malden: Hi-resolution Malden by Symbiot & Atherakhia (2048x2048 textures)
Malden (option 2): Mr Burns Island Pack (WGL textures & Berghoff's trees)
Nogova: Mapfact Nogova2 by Sniping-Jack
Nogova (option 2): WGL textures
Desert: MCM Mod

If you want high fps, play vanilla game and possibly PVP MP modes without AIs (e.g. Mini Battlefield on Kaskad server).

ECP Redux is a specs heavy mod, so you shouldn't expect super high framerates.
