Each patch is not compatible with other ones so you cannot join any server whose version does not match yours.
If memory serves me correctly, you could be able downgrading from 1.99 to 1.96 whilst keeping both games in the same folder but you cannot do the same for 1.99 and 2.01 thus you are forced reinstalling whole game in case you want to downgrade.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=260687663 (Russian campaign & voices which were originally bundled in earlier version of game but then removed in 1.99 for copyright issues);
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=260415514 (aspect ratio fix for 1.99 in order to properly display the game in 16:9 monitors)
Enjoy the game!

The site is still up and appears to work, as normal, until you actually try downloading something. All you get is a "Bad Gateway 502" error with the word "openresty" underneath it.
Also Norton 360 flags up a link quoted in it's home page, some "ofpisnotdead" or other, as an attack site.
Edit: "ofpisnotdead" is one of the mirror hosts OFP.info2.0 uses. Also beware of any OFP mod site with what looks like "faguss" in it's name. That's an attack site too according to Norton 360 - unless again, Norton is being overzealous.
With Armaholic now being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Thai casino site and all of the other old OFP mod site giving the same "502" errors as before, or "404"s, or are now "casino sites" or "attack sites", ALL OFP mods are now gone from the internet. Full stop.
I wish I did not let my bro borrow my CD-R with OFP and all my favorite mods in there
However, some rather "aggressive" people are insisting rather aggressively (on another thread - now removed) that OFP.info2.0 has "nothing wrong with it". So, ok, give it a try if you wish, you might not get the "502" errors I did!
But be careful! AFAIK "ofpisnotdead" is one of the mirrors used in OFP.info2.0. That is an "attack site" according to Norton 360. But Bullguard AV does not flag it up as anything such.
It may be all just Norton being overzealous!
However, visit them at your own risk, and keep your AV up!
The "aggressive" responses I've had are from, what I believe, are the people behind those sites. So, are they protesting innocence? Ie, nothing is wrong with their sites afterall?
Or do they full well know their sites are "bad" and don't want this made known?
Again, be careful with some of these OFP mod sites!
