Start ofp monitor.exe and check the "settings" menu.
Connect your game to ofp monitor (by telling ofp monitor where you installed your ArmA)
You may have to start ArmA once to setup a player profile also.
Remember to refresh "serverlist" now and then.
Enjoy playing.
-> You may also want to install some mods eventually to be able to play on some servers.
Tupas server has a 1.88GB big modpackage ("zipped")
WW4 mod is also very interesting and good, although it has some tweaks which you need to learn. Like binocs will not zoom in unless you press V after pressing B.
But you can now roll and lean or raise rifle a little bit when lying down by pressing shift+directional/movement key.

Not bad for a 16 yr. old game.
Just start the exe and give your game-path in settings of ofp monitor so that it knows where the installation is. It needs to know that.
