I'd say you will have more fun using Rytmik, but Rytmik does not support things like VSTs and soundfonts and MIDI-Export, which Mixcraft might (I'm not sure as I didn't research that). So if those are libraries and features that you will absolutely need access to than Rytmik might not be your best option.
If I can recommend software to you, try https://lmms.io/ - it's based more on the FL-Studio interface (which may or may-not appeal to you), but it has support for all of those features that Rytmik would not have and it's FOSS (Free Open Source Software). I personally prefer LMMS as my favorite DAW, but Rytmik is definitely my favorite tracker simply for how intuitive and fun it is to work with.

Actually, it seems to be a coin-toss whether people find the Rytmik interface intuitive or not. You may want to try Rytmik and refund before the 2-hour Steam-Refund time limit if you really don't like the interface. Aside from that, there isn't much we can recommend for you since it almost always comes down to personal preferences. You'll just have to try it and refund it if you don't like it.
Looking closer at Mixcraft and its advertised "easy-to-use" schpiel, I suspect it will be the exact same scenario. You'll likely want to try it and consider refunding it if it's not working as you would like, too.

Coincedentally, you can grab the Magix Music Maker 80's Edition for $1 in the first tier of this Humble Bundle[www.humblebundle.com]. You might want to give that one a try as well. I'm not a really big fan of Magix Music Maker, but it's easy to use and works very similar to Mixcraft and many other typical-DAWs.
At $20 on Steam, Home Studio is a steal. Pro supports 32 AND 64 bit VSTs, and I think “Home” does as well (check the specs to be sure). That’s a HUGE plus in my opinion as it opens up a whole new world of possibilities, and there are a ton of good free ones on the net. You can find everything from virtual violins to plug-in programmable synthesizers. That alone sways my vote.
Mixcraft's interface is well laid out and intuitive, great tutorials, full MIDI support, and was the most stable of all of the brands I tried. It also comes with a ton of samples and loops with an easy drag & drop library. Go to the Acoustica website and check, they usually have a trial version to try before you buy. I’m not knocking Rytmik, I own both Studio and Ultimate, but I prefer Mixcraft for making any kind of serious music.
EDIT: I will take LMMS and buy Rytmik Studio or The Loyalty Bundle on Sale. I think that will be a wounderful combination.
