Question about "gold popcorn"

If I´ve popcorn and gold has a chance to duplicate...
but my helper is too fast with picking it up, has the gold still a chance to duplicate?

Sorry for my bad english.

I mean (example) this one:
Gold drop (1 icon falling to ground) -> my helper pick it up. Is that only x1 gold? Or does the game count it as x4 gold (because if this gold hit the ground, it will duplicate x4 but it picked up before it duplicated itself).

My question is now, should I try to wait for pick gold up until it stops duplicate?
Or it doesn´t matter if I pick it up before it duplicate, because I get the full gold anyway?

If you pick up a piece of gold before it calculates the duplication chance it will calculate the duplication chance after youve picked it up, so if it would have duplicated it will create the gold out of nothing.
Basically dont worry about it, all the gold that needs to get duplicated gets duplicated, you arent missing out on any gold.

fun tip: if you pick up both golden and seasoned popcorn you get caramel popcorn witch keeps the effects of both of the previous two but also has a chance for the duped food to be golden food witch is worth money

Yeah I know.
I still reach the othermine and try to beat that. It´s more luck which items you get because you have very less gold there and nothing to buy. I was happy to get 1k after killed 2 bosses but I only had food/keys/bombs and useless potions at the trader.
