Selt it the hardest boss in the game

And he is supposed to be the first one. I've played a good amount of hours (almost 90) and I can say that no other boss is as hard as he is now, at least in Othermine. He hits like a truck and (this is the real problem) spawns 4 or 5 maggots every single time he does the spawning, in places where you cannot reach with ranged attack; I have had times that around 10 maggots were all over the place; yeah I know that a bomb deals a lot of damage and interrupts and yeah, I know that I have to get gud and all that, but comparing to any other boss in the game he is the hardest solely for the maggot spam.

Selt ? it is so easy with good strat.

For me its Ponzu at the end if you don't have good upgrade.

Man, talk about a difference in perspective. I beat him on my first run and thought it was really easy. I just ignored the maggots unless they were close by and beat on his tail once I figured out that was his weak point. He actually destroyed most of the maggot eggs himself tbh.

I find Ponzu a lot harder simply because of how chaotic the fight becomes when all four heads are up. It can go downhill very quickly of you dont stay on your toes at all times.

I used to struggle with Selt too, mostly because I had delay that made it difficult to dodge attacks. But after the 1.0 update those issues went away.

strange, selt is hard, since it come up early when you have little to no upgrades, but after some upgrade and getting used to its patterns, it is almost a freebie, and if you have the firebird, it is a freebie. the second boss is super easy usually, the third one not that big of a deal, but can even more one shot you with low upgrades, than the previous ones. Ponzo is super random and you need to watch the entire field, not just the small part where the boss is. The Salamander is a bit mixed bag, but not really my liked one. For me Ponzo is the hardest clearly, but really depends on the item, some simply clear this or that boss, while other make it even harder.
