Float Boots
Now why on earth does stuff like oil slow me down etc if i am floating ? as well as ground spikes surely as i am floating they should do nothing to me ?

Haha yeah I agree, but its the same thing like in Rampage Knights, the balance would be way off and it would be an OP item.

simple thing then would be to combine all the relic boots into one legendary relic

Yep, i was a bit sad when having all four boots and nothing happened, even a just for fun combination would be ok.
basically what you are describing would make all other boots redundant to float boots. but yeah there should be a relic for getting all 4 boots, especially since the spike breakers are a downgrade.

float boots + spike breakers -> combine: (no longer break spikes but float over them and fire)

would make the spike breaker boot things worth picking up instead of potentially cúckíng you out of some loot.

Waaaait wait wait wait... What Im getting from these comments is that once you get one type of boots you will never get any other to drop?? Is this true?

i have had 3 boots on at the same time yet my guy only has 2 feet smh

no you can get all 4 on one run, float boots are most useful, fire boots used to be very useful but got nerfed in 0.4.2 to no longer be able to light torches and thrown weapons. oil and spike breaker boots are very low tier currently.

But breaking spikes sounds usefull, why is that considered low tier?

Rarely useful (one or two rooms only where you need to go through spikes, and even that is just a bit of damage), and lock you out from the damage yourself to get a chest rooms, since you break the spike and not damage yourself. So at best it is a wash, at worst it is a clean loss.

Ahhhhhh I havent thought of that, yeah that does suck if you look at it like that.

5% movement speed up immune to lurkers and sand shulkers I will take those boots any day
I think this logical quirk could be avoided by just taking out the float animation and having it activate when over a pit, or maybe make little wings sprout and flap over pits.

Hardly. Spikes are very common. All lurker type enemies uses spikes as attacks. Having those boots make you immune to all of their attacks. Wayland's Boots are useful in all rooms with spikes and lurkers, and lurkers exist on all floors.
