Dedicated server admin privliges

Have a server and are set as the admin in the config files. But join the server and it says that you need to be an admin. Also have tried to type /admin in game and that just results in getting kicked. Is there another way to set admin?

i have the same problem. Changes at the admin.txt have no effect.

Having the same problem. Steam IDs listed in admin.txt file. When I start the server, the cli says "attempted to authenticate as admin", which fails and then kicks me. Thoughts?

In location where the P5Sserver.exe instance is located you need to add admin.txt file.

Server location Sightseer/ServerConfig/admin.txt
Game - player location User/Documents/Sightseer/ServerConfig/admin.txt

both of the admin.txt must match.

When entering server at menu setup screen type in chat /admin to set admin and then you can adjust choices for server configuration there.
It is also required each time you enter server after logging out to do it again to access admin commands...just make it a habit to type /admin each time you connect then no worries.

Another factor that causes error - be sure to create world in single player first and then transfer to the server the world file - location = User/Documents/Sightseer/Worlds
copy that folder into the server as well.

Thank you! We hadn't realized the two txt files needed to match. Made sure they did, and now it works.
