Am I the only one who likes this game?

Why was this expansion hated? The game is really, really fun for me, but it wasn't fun for many other users and gave it a bad rating. What caused that?

It's probably because people were in the modern-military shooter genre. These guys likely didn't play Painkiller, only Call of Duty. It's also possible, that players of the game, thought that waves were tiring and repettitive and were looking for more straight foward levels. The Steam reviewers of this game killed Painkiller Redemption. They may not see it now, but there are surely mods that enhance the experience.

Bad level design, overwhelming bugs, boring gameplay comparing to previous parts. OST nice though.

I like the guns though. Looks like people thinks it's too hard, but the gameplay's a bit like Serious Sam Fusion though.

A lot of people used to like it back in the day when this forum used to be quite busy, I still play myself occasionally and have a lot of fun with it. Some people do find it too hard.

Maybe they played too much modern shooter and hand holding games. All old games are hard, people shouldn't expect this to be easy and a piece of cake.

Surely they'll keep trying and trying and trying again to get past that part, and then die again and again to familarize yourself with the enemies, as well as the levels. People don't seem to do that in this game, I think they haven't played long enough, and gave it a bad review.

But then again there's a save system, so you can blast to where you left off. If you players are having trouble with the game's maps, then use the damn save system!

That's probably what happens you can't just stand there and shoot or you'll get overwhelmed. Tactics are important in this game and the painkiller weapon needs to be used more often, it gives you extra mobility and you can get to more advantageous areas which wouldn't normally be possible. It just takes a bit of practice to get used to it.

Yeah, and also, you just can't all the time use the same favorite gun you're using, I highly recommend to try the others as well.
