This really is a fantastic game and everyone should have it in their Steam library, I play it constantly and it's one of the only RTS games that I can stomach playing for hours on end but convincing my friends to download and install Hamachi just so we can play Free Game and Skirmish modes is nearly impossible, they don't want to mess with their network settings.
I've tried port forwarding and disabling firewalls but there still seems to be something blocking me, I've checked all the ports (even downloaded a program that checks UDP) and it STILL won't work.
Please, please fix this and I swear I'll buy a copy for each of my friends so I can play this with them all.
But I agree, fixing multiplayer would be great, although I doubt it'll be possible for previous titles like Spellforce 1. Hamachi is the only thing that worked so far with current games. :(
