I can't remember exactly how I did it (was almost a year ago). I just remember you have to 'think outside the box'. Sorry.

The achievements worked for me. I just never got the final one (complete game 100%).

No. I cannot confirm whether or not the final achievement works. I haven't completed 100% of the game... It will likely work.
