Arrow keys for movement.

Enter for interacting with stuff.

9 for escaping. You're going to want to remember to use 9 often when you're stuck. Eventually there's an Effect that you can use instead, but 9 is still the best key.

There are doors, but there are no keys. There are creatures, but none of them will kill you or cause a game over. Wander about and find the doors. Press enter when things seem even weirder than usual and you might get an Effect to use.

If the arrow keys are not working, then report this as a bug. The arrow keys move Madotsuki around. The Z key, space bar or enter key interact with objects and characters if possible. The 1 key performs an action appropriate to your currently equipped effect. If you have no effect equipped, Madotsuki simply sits down. The 3 key cancels certain effect-specific abilities. The 5 key drops your currently equipped effect, but only in the room of doors. You can pick the effect up again whenever you like. The 9 key causes Madotsuki to pinch herself, waking her up if she's in the dream world. Madotsuki can't pinch herself if her current form doesn't have a head or arms!

I believe the F5 key lets you fiddle with some settings (it also windows the game if it's in fullscreen), this could possibly help.

I'm having the same trouble. The arrow keys aren't working at all. In fact, they are working on their own. I've switched keyboards and assigned keys on my razer for the arrows and none of them works. The F4/F5 keys work and as far as I can tell the enter, esc, etc work too, just not the arrow keys. Any help?

So, I launched the game both in "Play Yume Nikki" mode and "Play window" mode and had the same problems described. It was fixed if I pressed F4/(fullscreen).
I hadn't encountered it previously because I automatically just pressed F4 when I played.

Hi, can you check if you have any 3rd party key mapping drivers installed on your pc, they can interfere with the inputs.

If that doesn't work, please post your PC Specs.
