The Vastagan and the Keycard
On the Vastagan story location one of the key items you get is a keycard - which opens the door to a big room that has the green key in it.

As far as I remember there used to be a note behind this door as well, but when the story was rewritten and things were changed around, that note was moved or removed.

Now the keycard falls into a common level design pitfall; doorkeys for the sake of doorkeys.

The only purpose of the keycard is to obtain the green key. it's a 1:1 trade, there's literally nothing else in that room. That means that the keycard is just an extra meaningless step.

Either A) Replace the keycard with the green key and remove the keycard altogether - that room is no longer necessary.
or B) put some supplies in that room so that room becomes important and not just a filler step in the exploration process.
