Raft: Megalodon
A proposal to overhaul below seal level ecosystem:

Megalodon : A stronger, buffed version of the existing shark and a boss entity. It does not appear often and the number of Megalodons are equal to how many locations (triangulate by receiver and antenna) is present in game. It will only appear when player(s) and/or player(s) raft is within 100 tiles radius of a location (such as Radio Tower, Balboa Island, etc.) When it appears it will replace the normal shark until it is killed or player(s) and/or player(s) raft is out of the 100 tiles radius of a location. The transition between Megalodon and normal shark will takes about 30 seconds. Should player(s) and/or player(s) raft enter and exit or drift on the border of the 100 tiles radius in rapid fashion, it will not spawn and instead the normal shark will replay circling the raft. Megalodon's healthpoints is 750, bite damage is 50, 3 seconds to destroy a foundation, 5 seconds to destroy a solid foundation and 10 seconds to destroy a fortified foundation, additionally the bite attack cool down is 30 seconds . If player(s) did not deal 30 damage within time limit then the foundation is lost. This animal model will resembles what normal shark looks like except it is twice the size in width and length, featuring scars and a wounded primary dorsal fin. If player is bitten by the Megalodon, the player takes 50 damage, making the shark two-bite killer. Shark bait does not work for Megalodon . When Megalodon is killed, player(s) may loot it within 5 minutes, and Megalodon of the location visited do not respawn after 60 days, instead, a normal shark will appear after about 3 minutes of being looted. Megalodon's loot include Megalodon Head (1 per Megalodon), Raw Shark Meat (10 per Megalodon) and Shark Hide (1-2 per Megalodon).

Fortify Foundation : Existing function, but now repair is enabled since there are hostile animals that may deal damage to fortified foundation. Each repair restore 50% health per Scrap .

Whale : Providing existing Whale model an interaction purpose beyond aesthetic appealing. When Whale is non-hostile, it will swim closer to the raft than it currently behaves, and have 25% chance to swim under and across player's raft and 5% to rock the raft like how raft behaves during a storm for 3 seconds. Whale will spawn more often than current rate, but only spawns in empty space in ocean when there's no nearby islands (abandoned raft does not count) in 500 tiles radius. The total number of Whales active at all time is 2 and change appearing location in set condition mentioned above whether player(s) and/or player(s) raft is present or not. Whale by default is non-hostile and will only become hostile when player(s) damage it (raft colliding with Whale does not count). Whale's healthpoints is 1000, tail splash damage is 100, one tail splash attack will destroy 3 foundations at once and 2 solid foundations at once and two tail splash attacks will destroy a fortified foundation and adjacent fortified (inner raft parts does not count) will become 50% health, additionally the tail splash attack cool down is 1 minute . If player(s) did not deal 50 damage between each tail splash attack then the foundation is lost. This animal model will retain what currently Whale looks like with a small adjustment by featuring a little more Cryptolepas rhachianecti (barnacle) across the top side of a whale. Whale does not attack player(s) as it only damage raft after enraged by player(s) attack, cannot escape Whale once enraged . Additionally, Whale will return to non-hostile when raft size is reduced to 5 x 5, and can be enraged by player(s) if the raft size is smaller than 5 x 5, then the raft size will reduce to standard starting raft size 2 x 2. When Whale is killed, player(s) may loot it within 5 minutes, and a new Whale does not respawn after 45 days. Whale's loot include Whale Head (1 per Whale), Ambergris (0-1 per Whale), Raw Meat (10-12 per Whale), Whale Hide (2-4 per Whale), Whalebone (1-3 per Whale) and Whale Oil (1-3 per Whale).

Sting Ray : Providing existing Sting Ray model an interaction purpose beyond aesthetic appealing. Sting Ray will have same spawn rate as of currently in game, but it will spawn within the condition of in 150 tiles radius of islands, maximum 2 Sting Rays are spawned within said radius. Sting Ray by default is non-hostile and will only become hostile when player(s) damage it (raft colliding with Sting Ray does not count). Sting Ray's healthpoints is 200, poisonous sting damage is 30, it does not target raft, it will only target player(s) swimming in ocean after enraged by player(s) attack, can escape Sting Ray once player(s) and/or player(s) raft travel beyond 200 tiles away from nearby islands, additionally the poisonous sting attack cool down is 20 seconds . This animal model will retain what String Ray looks like as of currently in game. If player is sting by Sting Ray, the player takes 30 damage, making the Sting Ray four-sting killer. When Sting Ray is killed, player(s) may loot it within 5 minutes, and Sting Ray of the location visited do not respawn after 10 days. Sting Ray's loot include Sting Ray Head (1 per Sting Ray), Raw Meat (4 per Sting Ray) and Bottled Poison (2 per Sting Ray).

Swordfish : This new hostile sea creature will only appear after storm on the calm sea, spawning in ocean beyond 200 tiles radius of closest islands. Swordfish will travel in school, however only one, the school leading Swordfish is hostile, remaining Swordfishes are aesthetically decorating. When Swordfish appears, it will charge toward player(s) that are swimming in ocean or player(s) raft and stuck on border foundation for a duration before struck foundation is destroyed. When player(s) is standing near the foundation Swordfish is stuck on (directly on, adjacent to, diagonally adjacent to), there is a 50% chance Swordfish will topple player(s) into ocean and break free (stop damaging foundation) and quickly slash closest player relative to Sword Fish that got toppled and fall into sea. Swordfish's healthpoints is 100, slash damage is 15, it deals minimal damage to raft, only 20% per second it remain stuck for foundation, 10% per second on solid foundation, and 5% per second it remain stuck for fortified foundation, additionally the slash attack cool down is 20 seconds . This animal model will resembles what a real Swordfish (billfish) looks like. If player is slash by Swordfish, the player takes 15 damage, making the Swordfish seven-slash killer. When Swordfish is killed, player(s) may loot it within 5 minutes. Swordfish's loot include Swordfish Head (0-1 per Swordfish), Raw Meat (2 per Swordfish), Raw Pomfret / Raw Herring / Raw Mackerel / Raw Tilapia (1-3 per Swordfish) and Swordfish Bill (1 per Swordfish).

Salmon : School of Salmons may appear at random but only spawning in ocean beyond 100 radius of closest islands with water splashing (and a few hopping Crustaceans) on ocean surface as indicator. Player(s) can now take Sweeping Net (refer to Raft: Danger Afloat additional info for this tool's updated details) to score up to 3 Salmons per school , but beware the oxygen meter because the school in average 15 ~ 20 meters below surface and will bump into player(s) and cause 5 damage per bump (each school maximum bumps up to 5 times).

Giant Clam : This material will be revamped and house Hermit Crab per clam. This spawn rate will increase to 1 per coral reef (for large coral reef it has 10% to spawn 2nd Giant Clam). Hermit Crab have 25% to spawn when player interact and attempt to grab Giant Clam. When Hermit Crab is startled, it will pinch player and deal 10 damage and attempt to run away on coral reef (it will not escape beyond boundaries of the reef) to relocate to a new location to settle down, escape distance is up to 5 tiles. Hermit Crab's healthpoints is 20, pinch damage is 10, pinch attack cool down is 1 minute or per startled . This animal model (Giant Clam) will remain exactly the same as of currently in game, when Hermit Crab spawned it will add crab legs sticking out of the clam and bubbles. Giant Clam provided armor for Hermit Crab therefore Hermit Crab will only take damage when player(s) attack it from the front side where Hermit Crab is. Hermit Crab's loot include Hermit Crab Head (1 per Hermit Crab) and Hermit Crab Claw (2 per Hermit Crab). In addition, Giant Clam now has 10% to reveal Pearl when collected (If Pearl spawned, Giant Clam will not be collected) and 5% to reveal Black Pearl which can be use in new wearable and decoration recipes.

Octopus : This new hostile sea creature will only spawn on coral reef (maximum 1 per island), camouflaged and hidden in plain sight. Octopus will strike player(s) with in 2 tiles distance and will not escape until player(s) has located it and deal damage. When Octopus attempt to escape it will spew Ink in the opposite direction it is escaping into (it will not escape beyond boundaries of the reef), escape distance is up to 10 tiles. Octopus's healthpoints is 50, tentacle whip damage is 20, whip attack cool down is 10 seconds . This animal model will resembles what a real Mimic Octopus look like. If player is whip by Octopus, the player takes 20 damage, making the Octopus five-whip killer. Octopus's loot include Octopus Head (0-1 per Octopus) and Raw Octopus Tentacle (4 per Octopus).

Alloy Spear : This new weapon crafting requires 1 Titanium Ingot, 2 Metal Ingots, 2 Copper Ingots and 8 Planks (to make 1 spear). Damage is 20, Uses is 100 times, stacksize is 1.

Alloy Arrow : This new weapon ammunition crafting requires 1 Titanium Ingot, 1 Metal Ingot and 10 Feathers (to make 6 arrows). Damage is 30. Does not deteriorates .

Harpoon : This new weapon ammunition crafting recipe requires 4 planks, 8 scraps, 1 Explosive Powder and 2 Plastics (to make 2 Harpoons). Damage is 50. Harpoon can only be use with Harpoon Station and does not deteriorates .

Harpoon Station : This new stationary weapon module will be a great addition to arsenal! It takes clear space in a cross shape (5 foundations) and cannot be placed indoor (or cannot put a floor over it). Crafting recipe requires 4 Titanium Ingots, 10 Metal Ingots, 4 Hinges, 4 Bolts, 1 Circuit Board and 20 Scraps (to make 1 Harpoon Station). It requires battery to operate . (battery drain = 20 harpoon fired) To use it, one player must walk up to it and press E to use it and have sufficient Harpoons in inventory. The Harpoon station can rotate 360 degree vertically, horizontally 120 degrees (60 degree upward and 60 degree downward). Every 10 Harpoons fired it will requires a new battery to operate. The display and model of of this will resemble what a real Whaling harpoon gun looks like (mounted).

Additional Info for everything new mentioned above:

Megalodon Head : This wearable equipment's display and model has different look from normal Shark Head. It features a set of two shark jaws arranged with one wear around character model's head horizontally and the other is a little higher but tilted on one side and overlaps the horizontal laying shark jaw, and a large shark teeth necklace is visible on character model's chest . In first person view, there should not have any teeth surround HUD.

Shark Hide : Prized leather piece from the alpha predator of the ocean. It is used for 2 new recipes - misc. recipe Pool Table and other recipe Tent .

Pool Table : To craft this misc. item it requires 2 Shark Hides, 20 Planks, 10 Plastics, 6 Vine Goos, 2 Hinges and 4 Stones. The complete item is in comparable size as Piano in game (3 x 7 , width x length in foundations). Pool Table can be interact by player(s) in the manner of cue sports. All the player(s) need to do is stand on the side of the Pool Table closest to the cue ball and press E to interact and it will randomly shoots the cue ball to hit other balls on the table with Cue stick (default rest locations are on each long sides of the Pool Table) .

Tent : To craft this other item it requires 1 Shark Hide, 8 Planks, 4 Plastics and 4 Scraps. The complete item is in comparable size as Bed in game (2 x 3, width x length in foundations). Tent is ultimately a variation of Hammock . This item's display and model has two variation, one is standard version that looks exactly like the abandoned makeshift tents currently in game and the more complex version is a full tent with lamp hang inside the tent (does not lit).

Whale Head : Whaaaaaaaale (. _____ .)_y

Ambergris : This is a rare find obtainable from Whale, about 25% drop rate per Whale killed. It is used for 1 new misc. recipe Ambergris Display .

Ambergris Display : To craft this misc. item it requires 1 Ambergris, 2 Clay and 4 Planks. The complete item can be used as decoration and in comparable size as Scrap Mechanic Duck. This item's display and model will resembles a trophy with a rounded object entangled by tree roots in a cross pattern sits on a disc platform. Additionally, when placed in an enclosed space or no sunlight, it will glow with faint orange light but display in a grayish manner under sunlight or in open space.

Whale Hide : This hardened leather of the largest mammal in the ocean can be use for several new items such as misc. recipe Map and equipment recipe Glider .

Map : To craft this misc. item it requires 1 Whale Hide, 10 Scraps, 4 Nails and 2 Bolts. The complete item can be used as decoration and requires a clearing of two wall spaces to host this item . This item's display and model will resembles a treated hide with nails pinned on wall surface. The view of the map is a simplified summary of the entirety view of receiver (and updates as player triangulates more locations). Each location is represented by a dot with their name next to it and in rest of the space on Map it will features Bruce the shark's cute head, a couple giant tentacles, waves, raft, a drawing of a round edge surface with waves below marked with "whale sighting?" and a simplified large island drawing with an oversize palm tree marked with "scary screecher spotted.".

Glider : To craft this equipment item it requires 2 Whale Hides, 1 Whalebone, 8 Ropes, 6 Metal Ingots, 2 Titanium Ingots and 10 Vine Goos. This equipment is meant to safely carry player descent from high altitude to sea level. This equipment deteriorates, and has a use of 50 times (regardless the distance glided) . To use it, player need to equip it (will conflict with body slot equipment) and simply stand at the edge of a high altitude location such as mountain tops, press space bar to jump and press E to extend glider and use WASD to control glider direction. This item's display and model will resembles what a real paragliding looks like with the fabric wing sports bright orange color and with bold text in black slanted across the fabric wing "Axolot Games".

Whalebone : This item is used for a new equipment recipe Glider mentioned above and can be use for 1 new misc. recipe Whale Carving .

Whale Carving : To craft this misc. item it requires 1 Whalebone, 2 Scraps, 2 Copper Ingots and 6 Clay. The complete item takes up spaces within 1 foundation, its height is a little higher than the Half Wooden Wall currently in game and can be used as decoration. This item's display and model will resembles an ivory white whale jumped out of water facing downward, arching its back, carved out of a massive Whalebone, situated atop a copper base.

Whale Oil : This item is use for 2 new recipes - equipment recipe Greek Fire and sustenance recipe Margarine .

Greek Fire : To craft this equipment item it requires 1 Whale Oil, 2 Explosive Powders, 4 Vine Goos and 10 Plastics. This equipment deteriorates, and has a use of 60 times . To use it, player need to equip it (will not conflict with any current equipment types, it is considered back equipment) and it will automatically apply Greek Fire Effect to all Weapon in use. The Greek Fire Effect increase damage by 10 points. This item's display and model will be a rectangular plastic pouch with black tar seeping out top and strapped to the back of character model. In action, the Greek Fire Effect will not light enemy on fire but will have a brief fire splash when enemy take hit, compatible with any weapon, however it will ignite a small area (within 1 foundation size) when player use Bow and arrows and where the arrow landed (land or surface of ocean) will create a non-damaging fire that will sizzle out in 3 seconds.

Margarine : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires 1 Whale Oil, 3 Plastics and 2 Leathers. The complete item is not considered raw, and heals Hunger by 15 points and the Margarine can be used as an ingredient, but cannot be cooked by itself . This item is use for 2 sustenance recipes Scrambled Egg and Fried Chicken . This item's display and model will resembles what a real plastic tub of Margarine looks like.

Scrambled Egg : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Scrambled Egg , and prepare 1 Margarine, 2 Eggs and 1 Bucket of Milk then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 20 points and give Bonus Hunger by 10 points. The cooking time is 150 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Scrambled Egg looks like.

Fried Chicken : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Fried Chicken , and prepare 1 Margarine, 2 Raw Drumsticks and 1 Silver Algae then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 30 points and give Bonus Hunger by 5 points. The cooking time is 210 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Fried Chicken drumstick looks like, enlarged version of 1 drumstick to fit the Cooking Pot in game.

Sting Ray Head : This wearable equipment's display and model will features a miniature Sting Ray sit horizontally, tilted backward a bit on character model's head . In first person view, there should not have anything obstruct view of HUD.

Bottled Poison : This lethal addition is an misc. item, use as an ingredient of a weapon enhancement (like the Greek Fire mentioned above). This item is use for 1 new equipment recipe Poison .

Poison : To craft this equipment item it requires 1 Bottled Poison, 2 Explosive Powders, 4 Vine Goos and 10 Plastics. This equipment deteriorates, and has a use of 30 times . To use it, player need to equip it (will not conflict with any current equipment types, it is considered back equipment) and it will automatically apply Poison Effect to all Weapon in use. The Poison Effect increase damage by 5 points but will slow enemy actions by 5 seconds. This item's display and model will be a leather pouch strapped to the side of character model. In action, enemy affected by the Poison Effect will have green bubbles rise around them and compatible with any weapon.

Swordfish Head : This wearable equipment's display and model will features the head of a Swordfish on character model's head vertically . In first person view, there should not have anything obstruct view of HUD.

Swordfish Bill : The bill is the weapon of the Swordfish and it can be use for 1 new misc. recipe Fencing Swords Display .

Fencing Swords Display : To craft this misc. item it requires 2 Swordfish Bills, 4 Metal Ingots, 8 Planks and 12 Scraps. The complete item can be use as decoration. This item's display and model will be two saw blades cross at the tip backed by a metal framed wooden shield. It requires a clearing of 1 foundation on wall to host this item .

Hermit Crab Head : This wearable equipment's display and model will features the red head of a Hermit Crab with two black googly eyes on eye stalks, sits on character model's head vertically, facing front and tilted forward by 45 degree . In first person view, there should not have anything obstruct view of HUD.

Hermit Crab Claw : This item is use for 2 new sustenance recipes Crab Cake and Seafood Frenzy .

Crab Cake : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Crab Cake , and prepare 2 Hermit Crab Claw, 1 Eggs and 1 Potato or Beet then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 10 points and give Bonus Hunger by 25 points. The cooking time is 150 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Crab Cake looks like, one enlarged version fits the Cooking Pot.

Seafood Frenzy : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Seafood Frenzy , and prepare 1 Hermit Crab Claw, 1 Raw Salmon, 1 Raw Shark Meat and 1 Coconut then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 30 points and give Bonus Hunger by 30 points. The cooking time is 210 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Paella looks like.

Pearl : This is a rare find from Giant Clam, collect several of this item to craft 1 new equipment recipe Pearl Necklace .

Pearl Necklace : To craft this equipment recipe it requires 15 Pearls and 1 Rope. This wearable equipment's display and model will features several miniature pearls with centerpiece Pearl being the largest one . This equipment does not provide any status effect or bonus.

Black Pearl : This is beyond rare, an exquisite find from Giant Clam! All you need is 1 to craft 1 new misc. recipe Black Pearl Display .

Black Pearl Display : To craft this misc. recipe it requires 1 Black Pear, 2 Copper Ingot 1 Titanium Ingot and 1 Bolt. The complete item can be use as decoration and in comparable size as Scrap Mechanic Duck. This item's display and model is a black pearl as big as character model's head fixed atop a bronze base with white metallic lining.

Octopus Head : This wearable equipment's display and model will features a black eye Pink Octopus sucked onto character model's head . In first person view, there are two tentacles curled up on each side extend from top view of HUD, takes up 1/8th of the space.

Raw Octopus Tentacle : This item is use for 3 new sustenance recipes Takoyaki , Grilled Octopus and Fried Calamari .

Takoyaki : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Takoyaki , and prepare 2 Raw Octopus Tentacles, 1 Raw Beet and 1 Bucket of Milk then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 40 points and give Bonus Hunger by 10 points. The cooking time is 210 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Bakudan-Yaki looks like, 1 giant Takoyaki to fit the Cooking Pot in game.

Grilled Octopus : To craft this sustenance recipe it simply require player to place 1 Raw Octopus Tentacle on Advanced Grill. This item does not fit on Simple Grill . After consume it, will restore Hunger by 20 points and give Bonus Hunger by 10 Points. The cooking time is 90 seconds, This item's display and model will resembles an enlarged curled up octopus tentacle, and the cooked model will darken its default color and add grill marks onto surface.

Fried Calamari : To craft this sustenance recipe it requires player to source the Recipe: Fried Calamari , and prepare 1 Raw Octopus Tentacle, 1 Margarine, 1 Cave Mushroom and 1 Bucket of Milk then use the Cooking Pot to cook. After consume it, will restore Hunger by 15 points and give Bonus Hunger by 15 points. The cooking time is 210 seconds. This item's display and model will resembles what a real Fried Calamari looks like, 1 serving of Fried Calamari to fit the Cooking Pot in game.
Should also make a small adjustment to arrows travel animation that makes it easier to spot where it lands if player miss the target.
i made a suggestion for a kite / glider in one where you can use it as a sail or as a glider, cause kite sails are real world items

I have detailed info as general guideline here on how glider should present in game should devs takes suggestion and implement it. :2017meatball:
To clarify Glider's display and model shape - it will be a glider with triangular canvas, 3 support beams form in triangular shape (along with handle where player hold onto). The frame should not be visible on canvas' top side (where the graphical design takes place).
As mentioned above Megalodon's 750 points (same health as mama bear). Could consider lower it to 500 healthpoints due to its lethal damage (50 per hit, 2 hit KO player).
Shark Flag : To craft this misc. recipe, it requires player to have 1 Swordfish Bill, 2 Ropes and 12 Palm Leaves in inventory. This is a new decorations item that utilize Swordfish Bill. The display and model of this item will be a flag that's half the height compare to standard flag, flag post made of Swordfish Bill, and flag mast is made of a blank T-shirt with a cute drawing of a Shark on it.
Now that I've seen the cheerful news that devs may implement some sort of trading system for excessive materials, I believe the suggestion posted here would make game more in-depth and enjoyable.
