Pipes have to go through walls and floors

At the moment building with pipes ends up being ugly. If they can go through walls and floors it would look much better.

Example:
When a sprinkler is standing in front of a wall you can still connect a pipe to it that is going through the wall.

It's been some time since I've played with the piping, I made all of the biofuel bits but at that time I was more concerned with stockpiling and having enough food, and have just stayed with wood as my fuel source tbh. - Since the Ch.2 update and all of the new water goodies I've been toying with new raft layouts in Excel, bc I hate wasting and having to recollect resources! lol. This changes so much of my current plans... Why would piping not go through walls (and floors)? I could've swore the fuel pipes did, or, at least I thought I remembered them doing so... Well, poop.
