More usage of giant clams

Giant clams seems under utilised so here's few thoughts on getting more use from them.
1. Clam chowder recipe.
2. Bird feeder. Place some fish in it and the birds don't eat your plants or attack the scarecrow for a few days.
3. Bio fuel.

I think it is really needed to change clams be edible. Actually,I was surprised when I noticed they are not edible.I stock so many giant clams X(
For now,giant clams are only for making a bird nest.Unfortunately, a bird nest is less useful since we cannot get eggs from that anymore.

I hear you! On our first raft we had a full medium chest filled with them waiting for a recipe to drop, then I got confused when we couldn't use it as bio fuel and had to look it up. Considering that there are so many clams out there and you only have use for two on a boat seems weird.

I'm just worried they'll come up with the brilliant idea to combine clams with bananas and strawberries. *shudder*

Use the clams for mirrors, a palette for paint. Maybe even as a mortar to grind flowers or stuff. It could be like a mini paint grinder.

They are big enough you could even use them as a replacement for clay bowls.
