(if only the seagull did not attack grown flowers, that would actually be doable)
I know, it seems a bit cheap, but that's kind of how I see it. It is a sound strategy to start things off low powered and then make them better later on with tweaks. (even though there isn't much in terms of 'power' when it comes to dyes)
It caught me by surprise at just how much balance foresight there was into possible positive loop cycles with growing things. (and not just for flowers)
I'd be willing to bet there will be a way to grow your own dye plants on your raft after getting starting seed sometime later down the road. I can't see this current unbalanced setup as being unintentional.
