There is also an update in beta branch that brings Cross-play, Controller Support and In Game Voice Chat to the PC version.

The Beta patch will eventually be pushed to stable branch when the developers feel it's ready. Beyond that, we currently have no information what the developers plan to do in the future as nothing has been announced.

Played the story years ago, it was unfinished than. Uptdate came and finished the story, i played with it friends again. We had a lot of fun. Than i played to get all achievments. I was done, got 100%, i sailed into the sunset with my good old raft and logged off a beatiful game. This is not CS2.

It's not abandoned, it's *done.* Two very different things. Not every game is designed be a live-service forever game you devote your life too- in fact the good ones never are.

Did they push the beta to the stable branch yesterday? Because for some reason it downloaded or updated something but there is no mention or patch notes listed. It just shows 6.6 gig downloaded in my download history.

Nope, the public branch hasn't been touched past 2.3 years (since 1.09 update, December 2022).

I dont feel like when you "finish" youre finished. I honestly felt like "now the fun begins" re imagining, building my raft into something amazing. Rolling around the sea, exploring a bit more in depth and so on.

I think a lot of people feel like Raft could be continued.

I remember reading the devs said something against DLCs. They didn't like games structured like that.

But I can imagine additional free chapters and content updates - sponsored by those who buy cosmetics.

Its a complete game so id have no issues with paid dlc as long as it wasnt insane amounts . The only problem is literally the community crybabies "why should i have to pay?" especially with cosmetics.
This really could be making so much more money with dlc. I absolutely love the game, 4 full playthroughs on my games and probaly 5 to 10 with friends.
