When you finally have everything teched up and convenient, the game is over and there's nothing to do.
Build a roof over your farm plots (not the trees, seagulls don't go after them) and put a pair of nests on the roof. Beyond being there as a way to hold up the roof, walls are optional.
The roof means that your crops are a step harder to go after so they will default to the far easier option of the nest. Works every time.
Just make sure not to build anything you can grow crops in (including trees) on that roof in turn.
When just stating out, put your first farm plot under the workbench. I find stairs also work.
For the purifiers, if you don't want to have to run back and forth between the water and the purifiers themselves, just make a hole next to the purifiers. Maybe put a half foundation in it, build railing or even place a box slightly over it to reduce the chance of falling in. That way you need but turn a bit to the left and a bit to the right to refill it.
All that's left is to build a cheep box in the same location to keep the cup in so you don't even have to go anywhere to get that.
Not a lot I can say to help with auto-sorters as I make a point to never use them.
I have everything in my chests and inventory set up as I like it in a way that is the most convenient and efficient for myself and auto sorters only ever just auto mess all that up.
Early game can feel a bit of a chore, but the longer it goes on the more the whole thing becomes a breeze.
If each inconvenience comes after the next, then I have bad news for you: I'm afraid you're moving backwards through time, my friend.
Yes, I can deduce what you meant to say - but you didn't say it.
Actual applicable phrasing:
"One (...) after another."
Relatedly, say:
"Each one more (...) than the last.", NOT "Each one more (...) than the next."
In this context, "last" means "previous", not the actual last entry in a list. "Next" on the other hand means "things are getting less (...) with each one", which is essentially never what people mean when they say this mess of words.
In summary, don't use the word "next" in these contexts. Unless of course you are indeed moving backwards through time, or intent on describing a decline while still using words like "more" or "greater".
