2.never messed with creative so idk.
3. park raft far enough from reef that the shark will stay by the raft, make shark baits to distract them, or kill the shark. not completely harvesting the shark(such as leaving the head) will give you more time till the shark respawns since the game has to wind down the corpse decay timer first.
4. not sure there is an option. maybe there's a mod for it?
2) No, you can't play creative in story mode. Use it to test out how you want to build things, but if you want to do more than sit in the middle of an ocean you will need to start up a normal version of the game.
3) The shark always stays near your raft so try to leave it to one side of an island and hope the other side is the one with all the resources.
Also, build a spear. The basic wooden one is only good for fending it off, so grab all the sand and clay you can so you can start on metal production. Once you have metal spears the shark quickly goes from a treat to a reliable food source.
4) Look in settings. I forget what the button is, but I know it's there.
4) 3rd person view and no clip isn't currently advisable on consoles.
The Devs have it on their list to look into.
The other two questions have already been answered by the others.
It's ONLY foundations, btw. Any other floors higher up, or other constructed items, don't count towards engine need.
Battery chargers, on Caravan Island, fuel pipes on Balboa. Check all the shacks, although you actually have to to get past the island, so perhaps you missed a blueprint.
There's no shortage of copper, though, so batteries are never a problem for me at least. You can keep the dead ones for when you eventually get the charger.
Crops are safe if you farm them indoors.
