The Mysterious Sprinkler and the Strange Salt Water

My last playing for this game was on version 9.04 when Sprinkler just landing. Then I stopped playing this game. These two days I reopened raft to experience chapter 1 & 2. To see updates on irrigation and automation, I opened the Wikis, and find this:

"The Sprinkler has a maximum capacity valued at 30. One unit of water (the size of a Cup) fills a value of six, meaning five cups of Fresh Water will fill it entirely."

But I remember on that days Sprinkler accepted Salt water the same as Fresh water. And If I google "raft Sprinkler salt water", in "People also ask", it shows:

"Can you use salt water in sprinkler raft?

The Sprinkler has a maximum capacity valued at 30. One unit of water (the size of a Cup) fills a value of six, meaning five cups of either Salt Water or Fresh Water will fill it entirely."

That's pretty strange. Obviously wiki is changed. So I have my sprinkler settled down, and I added two fresh water and 3 salt water into it. Things become even more strange. For if salt water works no more since xx version, I literally should not be able to add salt water into it.

I would like to not test on it by myself anymore. Anyone is clear about this problem? Are salt water still good for Sprinkler?

by a mistake i filled all my sprinklers with salt water and they spray the grass after my animales been aeten.

i dont think you CAN fill the sprinklers with salt water.

The problem is I CAN. That is why things go strange. Are you able to do the same thing?

you can and it should kill the grass, however it wont kill the grass so there is that, ive done it a few times accidentally because i keep a bottle of salt water next tot he purifiers to fill them after i fill my water bottle and grabbed the wrong one.

I don't think I've ever used "fresh" water in a sprinkler. I've always used salt water.
