No more debris?
Strange, I am new to the game, I've played a few hours and all of a sudden, no more debris drifting, no more islands! Did I reach the end of the map? I still haven't figured out how to build the antenna (got the plans, then what?) so I'm very at the beginning of the game...

There is the effect of wind and if you sail against it you will find yourself stuck in the same place, so try to change the direction of your sail and you should start finding debris again.

Ok thanks!

Regarding the antennae: build a research table.

Thanks, this is weird, I built the research station, I put the plan in the station, it says it has already been researched, I dunno what to do next, it's probably because I didn't research all the compnents?

You no longer need to research the blueprints them selves, the item is automatically unlocked on research table the moment you pick blueprint up. As for researching the item, browse the list in the research table, you probably haven't researched all the material the item needs.

What he said. The blueprint item is a collectible you can keep or toss at will. The act of having had it at some point adds the recipe to the research table.

As I know, debris disappear when you use the sail to move faster (and other sailing things) and the blueprints you find are already discovered, just make a Research Table, look for the Antenna/Receptor and fill the required items, then press learn. Remember, navigate slow and collect materials without using the sail because debris appear at normal raft speed. Hope It helps!

Eh?

I have 5 sails on my raft and have never seen this. It actually makes collecting quicker, since you are moving faster. I also have 5 engines and never noticed any lack of debris with either setup.

Don't forget to follow the story of the game. Press "T" and the book will pop up and you'll know where your going.

Have you seen a lack of debris when using the sail? I think they don't disappear at all, but the spawn rate decrease compared to normal speed.

In my own experience, I captured more debris with the sails up and with the wind at my back. So no, I have never seen less debris with or without the sail. Just the speed in which debris was collected.

if you set the sail "against" the wind by too much, the debris stream will disappear.
not be "greatly reduced",....but "disappear".
set a "streamer" down if you dont already have one and point the sail in the same direction as the streamer. this will result in the fastest debris collection using nets, sans engine.
