hard mode

so I was playing hard mode and after putting in a good 5 hours I died because I glitched off my raft during as storm and got eaten by the sharks, because I'm playing singleplayer I can't even respawn which is stupid because I like everything about hard mode exept how unsingleplayer freindly it is, is there a mod or somthing that can fix my problems in my next game cause this is just dumb

From what I know, you can respawn, it's just that you lose all the stuff you had in your inventory at that moment. But I think maybe you need to have a bed built in order to be able to respawn, not sure.

no you can respawn on any difficulty below hard but under normal circumstances you can only respawn in hard mode with the help of a freind but I'm playing alone

If you're playing solo, Hard Mode is essentially Iron Man mode as you need someone to carry you to bed to respawn.

You'll need to ask modders to make a mod to enable respawns in hard mode as I don't see one Raftmodding hub:

^^ THIS. Without mods, or the modloader and console commands, this is the way to get a revive on Hard or higher. The Discord server, and the forums here both have a LFG section where such things belong. (Hell, the Discord server just added a !rescue command JUST for these situations)

Isn't the only difference between hard and normal the fact that you can't respawn? Why play on hard if you can't handle the perma death? I assume you're going for an achievement?

There are number of differences between normal and hard mode like in hard mode when you kill a shark, more than 1 shark can spawn to replace it and up to 5 sharks can be present at same time, you do less damage while taking more, you consume water and food faster among number of other differences.
