Using the metal detector you can search both large and small islands for titanium ore. This will need to be cooked down in your smelter to make ingots just the same as metals. Tip: Try hunting on smaller islands also while using your Receiver to find the bigger ones. They take a lot less time to find the "treasure" and I have had better luck rather then finding junk. It doesn't matter which region you're in.
