Most games do not put their saved games in game's installation folder actually. The games that do are generally very old, from pre Windows Vista/Windows 7 era. There is no standard save game location however and save location varies from game to game.

Most games save into one of the folders (Local, LocalLow or Roaming) in C:\users\user\AppData\ (do note that AppData folder is hidden by default and you need to enable ability to see hidden folders to see it). Others save in My Documents.

In case of Raft they can be found in C:\users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Redbeet Interactive\Raft\User\User_(steamid number)\. Player folder contains the configuration files as well as player save and the World folder world saves. You need both but you're better off moving the entire Redbeet Interactive folder to ensure everything goes to right place on your new computer.

so i installed Raft on Drive E (or F) as i had two additional SSDs in addition to my main SSD. i know for a fact the game was not installed on my main SSD (Drive C). but when i attached Drive E and F onto my new build i could not find the save files at all in either.

so that's why i'm hoping it's still on my drive C. i can't check this one though without unplugging/replugging a bunch of ♥♥♥♥.

They should be in the AppData folder I posted above. Though Steam should also automatically fetch them from cloud when you start the game. :lunar2020thinkingtiger:
