Highly recommend using Windows for basically anything, but to answer your question, no, and yes. It cannot run natively on the mac operating system, but via bootcamp it can. Again, MacOS is a very small percentage of the steam userbase, and it has its differences from windows, which many devs decide to not want to deal with. So i would recommend picking up either a cheap gaming pc using windows or even a laptop. But yeah, you best forget about gaming on a stock macbook or Mac. Not many games support MacOS.

No native compatibility.
In Crossover and Bootcamp the performance is terrible, but bearable

With @Folklore56.

Apple is not the platform to be on if you want to play anything from steam (or honestly, anywhere else).

Dev's dont typically write any games with a mac in mind. Why would they? Even porting over a windows game to a console is going to get them higher profits than porting to mac.

Back in the day, if you wanted certain design. graphics capability, yes, you went mac. That hasn't been true in well over a decade.

If you want to game, dont play on a mac. Simple.
