Possible fixes to "Having issue connecting" and getting stuck in storage chests
We know that several Rafters were facing issues with being stuck joining others world („Having issue connecting“) or getting stuck in storage chests when opening them.
The Devs analysed this issue in the last months and finally figured out, that one main reason for this issue is a software called „CloudFlare“. Disabling or uninstalling it solved the issue for the test candidates.

More can be read in the following support article: https://raft.chat/ConnectIssue

Also there have been few posts suggesting that host staying anchored while other people join may also help connecting to multiplayer.

Also disable VPN's if you're using any.

I get "Having issues connecting" all the time when joining another person's server.

Usually, it's not really a problem for me as long as I don't press the return to main menu button. I just wait it out. After 1-5 minutes (depends on internet speed, size of the raft world, etc), my friend's world will usually load.

On the rare occasion when waiting it out doesn't work, I just retry after a while.

I also do not have these programs installed. Even with the raft anchored and attempting to wait it out, it still takes me 4-10 attempts to join a friends game

The only way I am able to get into my friends games now is by "drowning" after a few attempts it puts me underwater and I drown. It usually takes a couple minutes.

Ok, reply from Redbeet was that they don't know and can't help. I tried disabling firewall, AV, VPN...but we're talking about a PC in one room connecting to a PC in another room.
So I tried waiting, and lo and behold after 15-20 minutes it did connect but with extreme lag spikes on the client side. So it just is what it is...sometimes you get a perfect connection, sometimes you get a crappy connection.

Unfortunately devs have not said anything about plans to fix the issue and they are currently busy porting the game to consoles so all we can do is wait and hope fix is implemented eventually. :wftosad:
