Yes, known bug. The only way I have been able to fix it is in multiplayer: I drop all the items so my friend can pick up the items, then I jump in the water and let the shark kill me. My friend carries me to a bed. When I respawn, it's fixed.

Other suggestions people have suggested have never worked for me, including clicking again on the chest I was interacting with.

Have you tried having the anchor down? I know some have said that fixed an issue like that, along with the issue of joining a multiplayer game.
