Considering the 1.0 version was titled "The Final Chapter" and concludes the game's story, it's unlikely to see further content updates to the game. This does not however rule out further bug fixes or back porting of any improvements made during console porting back to PC.
It's a finished game. It's NOT a live service game, though there are bits that rely upon an internet connection.
If you go to the store page, you'll find the reviews, they're near the bottom. Currently, the opinion of everyone who has left reviews averages out to "very positive", which means people like it.
