Co-Op Multiplayer can't throw hook (work-around) or place items

After setting up a game, my friend join with the inability to throw the hook. I had him host and the same thing happened to me as guest to the game until I swapped the hook quick slot by going into inventory and moving it from slot 1 to slot 2. I hosted the game, and it worked for him as well. So that has a work around.

However, we have another issue wiht multiplayer, over time neither one of us can place items unless I save world, quit and reload the game. Anyone have a work around other than reloading your game to resolve placement issues?

I had the same problem. Re-map left mouse button to a keyboard button, use it for a while, then re-map it to mouse.

just had this happen to me. Had to hit T and it stopped

Hitting T works perfect.
Remapping and other suggestions did not help.

I literally experienced this bug within 1 or 2 seconds of me playing the game for the first time and it's been almost 2 years since this OP, lol. I can usually fix it by scrolling off of the hook or hammer and returning.

I had to bug. Grab another item from the water, switch to it and back to your hook. Fixed it for me.
