How did you get the bee jar?
Xas Feb 15, 2020 @ 7:07am
After you placed the hive, put small planter near it with seeds.

Put flowers nearby and they'll start making honey. Not sure how many flowers are needed, i have 4 boxes just because i like symmetry and seagulls are going to eat some, so might as well have spares

I have bees in front of me and use the net but no effect.

Where do you get the jar? -- is a question not answered yet.
Xas Feb 15, 2020 @ 8:13am
The Net is used on ' large ' swarm of bees that is hovering up in the air,
not those small dots around honey on the logs.

During my playthru, few spawns are really high up in the air at Balbao island, that I am required to build a ramp all the way to their hovering spots, and wait to swipe at them, for the jar.

Believe there might be random elevation spawn issues that needs review.

Thank you I understand. But I've never seen such swarm. Even in older game version (75 hours of playing), or in the new release (several raft-days of walking on Balboa & on another new island). 4 honey spots visited on all weathers, no swarm seen :steamsad: Game bug? (easy mod)

I specially loaded up an ' old ' save that parked beside Balboa, combed for an hour plus, did not find any spawns.

Reloaded the ' initial save ', then drifted towards the very far away Balboa, only do I saw Spawns.

Believe there may be problems with older saves where the raft is already close to Honey Islands,
or buggy spawns since its a new mechanism.

Just sharing what I experience for reference as cant be absolutely sure.

the jar is automatically created when you scoop up the bees. There is no jar you create yourself. Make a bug net and scoop up a swarm

look up in the air, they're higher up. I have to jump to get them

i found all my swarms near honey spawns, where they spawn on the logs, usually with flowers nearby too. Bee swarms are usually higher up in the air, i found some hiding in tree branches and had to wait for them to get lower

If you place two beehives next to each other and a planter on one side, i notice that the beehive right up against the flowers will yield 2 honeycombs, whereas the one further away only yields one.
SparkPlug Feb 15, 2020 @ 11:07am
I should add, i have two planters (6 flowers) powering six beehives.

I have just reduced each planter to two flowers (so 4 in total) and am waiting to see if all 6 hives still produce.

Thank you very much @Xsas. It works :steamhappy:
