Where is my dead rhino shark?

The rhinoshark is dead. Oh, he is definitely dead, alright. We've been feasting on shark dinner.

But when I got back to my raft, after defeating him and recovering the crane key, there is no rhinoshark hanging from my raft. All the game descriptions show the rhinoshark hanging from the raft, once defeated.

Did I miss a step?

If you picked up the shark-steaks from him you probably have his trophy, that isn't just a head like with the other trophies thats the big hanging rhino-shark you saw.
Found that out when I tried to put that trophy into our a level high trophy-room... I just saw that big anchor he hangs from in red and thought "well maybe our trophy room is slightly too small for this one"

In most usual cases, players were having trouble finding, looting the Boss corpses, perhaps due to multiplayer environment, (seeing you used the word ' We ')
hence shown a link on retrieving trophy and body if mishaps happened.

Of course, I never would have expected or thought that ' you are having trouble ' even when its in your inventory.

So Sorry I overestimated, and failed to provide ' necessary ' reply.

Actually, yes. After a skimming a few articles, that was the impression I got from them.
The obvious question of "How's the game manage to plop a big thing onto a random spot" did not escape me.

I am having an issue with getting the head as well but we got the achievement, we weren't able to loot the shark and now the shark has de-spawned. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying because its such a cool shark head

u can revisit the island. u can re-loot this dead shark trophy.

It's been a while but, as i recall, he is in your inventory. It looks like just an ordinary trophy, but it's not. When you place it, you get the whole scaffolding, hook, and shark.
