I also find it funny how you complain about making a hook without needing a rope while conveniently ignoring your ability to make it with zero tools or your ability to add to your raft using just wood without anything to bind it together in any way. You're kind of cherrypicking your complaints here.
Oh really I got some things wrong in a game that explains nothing and follows zero logic, figures. But maybe you also got it wrong going sideways will also make your raft slower according to the wiki. And with a real sail, sailing slightly against the wind is the FASTEST way to sail, so you also got that part wrong. Ofc I am cherry picking some complaints, great that you noticed the pattern though that almost nothing makes sense. As someone who has sailed for many years I just found the sail part the most stupid one. And ok if it stays in place then that makes it a bit less stupid but still not logical (they could have solved that issue by giving the raft more speed via.... a sail so you catch up to stuff drifting in the same direction).
A lot of survival games don't ♥♥♥♥ up basic physics but just skip tedious parts. Ofc none of them are accurate simulations and nobody would expect that unless advertised otherwise.
i can only say, stop thinking about the little things so much- somethings in games just dont match real world logic. [/quote]
I mean if it's only the little things sure, if it's big things like sailing and a LOT of little things then that's just making excuses for laziness on the side of the devs.
Just a little sidenote: You mentioned the hook, not needing a rope. If you switch to 3rd person view, you can see that you always have the rope on your belt.
edit: hmmm, too late
Fantastic. Just like your thread, don't think anyone asked.
