How to reach caravan Island?

I get within 250 meters fore it starts say I'm getting further away,I've tried for 30 mins and now I'm 400 meters away,I can't get the raft to go straight to the island,Heck I cud even see it at 250,not now though.What am I doing wrong please?

You need engines and a steering wheel. After the 2nd story location you need engines to move across / against the wind

That was also my mistake first playing thru the game, after beating Vasagatan you need engines and a steering wheel.

I goofed,it seems im actually tryn get to radio tower to start my story mode.I head for 1st blue coordinates it gives me but i can only get within 250 meters,it seems i jus cant get to it?I turn my sail but just aint getting closer...whats the trick please if any?

I mean WTH am I doing wrong,i'm at 568 meters,i adjust sails and it goes painfully slow 567...565....564...565...566...567....Iv'e repeated this process 3 times and CANNOT get to radio tower...any help be much appreciated,i gotta be doing something waaay wrong?

Contradict between titled ' Caravan ' and lower ' Radio tower ',

I'm confused by what island you're trying to reach. The first island is a big radio tower that you sail to. If it's opposite the wind, then just keep sailing straight with the wind until the island resets in front of you.

The second story island (the yacht) is the same deal, just sail to it.

After the yacht you need to set up engines and a steering wheel because you can't navigate via the wind and paddles anymore.

If you're still struggling with the first two story islands, set up a sail and and a streamer
