Ofc best if you are on your raft under a roof at the time.
Method I suggest using is to hit the Screecher I believe 8 times (hard) with a metal arrow, save the game, kill it and quit to main menu without saving. Load back in, hit it once to kill it and repeat the process until the achievement pops up. You can do this with other enemies as well for the achievements ( I recommend using this same technique on Anglerfishes ).
The hardest achievement for me was the survival of a full year (365 days), as I finished the game on the hardest difficulty with roughly 200 days to spare, so managing hunger and thirst while doing nothing else was mentally taxing
The easiest way to get the screecher I found is sail your raft as close as you can to its territory so it aggros on you. You'll need a roof that's at least 1 1/2 high that you can duck under. Then it's just a matter of learning how much to lead with your arrow shots to hit it, and ducking back under the roof after you shoot.
Worst archivement i ever saw was "Die 500 Times", in a survival game
Stranded deep has "dont use a compass" what is equal hillarious
And even if you did kill all of them, you come across these islands not that often and 50 is quite a big number for low value.
I enjoy completing games with all of their achievements as it makes it feel more enjoyable for the most part. There are many games, including RAFT, that have some really poorly thought out achievements that does hurt the experience and at the end, leave a bad taste in one's mouth
Yeah, well, I don't really get why people feel so strongly about sports teams, or watch gaming streams of strangers *regularly*, and you can imagine how people feel trolled when they see me preferring hot water to coffee or tea, and, I've known people who, out of preference, are willing to strip a pizza from each & every topping existing on it instead of powering through by laziness or peer pressure. Dictionaries and games might as well start defining humans as "weirdlings" instead of "humanoids" for a bit more accuracy.
I still need to get Expert Painter, Expert Gather and Expert Builder. In my first three play throughs I didn't paint a single block so I've been working on it in this play through. I'm pretty sure I can finish these last three when I play the game again. I know I'll be playing it again after the VR mod gets released.
Same for warthogs as it gives leather and meat. Problem solved, do everything on a large island and in PEACE
