Stuck under Balboa Island

So, I am playing the game with my group of friends, and the raft ended up going to our next story location. Only the island didn't load in. We were right on top of the island when it was decided to simply reload the file.

Did that, and now the raft is completely stuck UNDER Balboa Island. We have tried steering the raft through the small openings we can see, only for it to get stuck due to very choppy waters or rocks just not being clipable for the raft on the underside of the island. We can get out from under the island, just cannot get back to our raft that is still inside of the island.

What can we do to get out from under Balboa Island?

The earlierst back up save we have has us under the island. It does not work.

Just a thought on it... Extreme but it might work - Use an axe on raft until it is small enough to get out perhaps? With a group of friends it shouldn't take that long to rebuild it once ya out.
