Raft
Advanced Scarecrow Question
Sorry if it's been asked before. I couldn't find the answer and I'm wondering if it's a bug.

I have one advanced scarecrow on my raft. The description said it prevents seagulls from attacking your crops, and I even tested it by leaving a small crop of potatoes near it. No seagull attacks; I was pretty satisfied.

Then today I made the advanced medium crop plot, set it on the top of my raft, and filled it with pineapples. Moments later, I heard a seagull attacking it. So now my question is, was this a bug, or do I need to purchase more scarecrows?

So, yes you need more than one scarecrow, if your plants are spread out over your raft.

Ah, thank you for the information.

In that case, I can just move it because I planted it in no particular spot; I assumed that as long as one was on your raft, your crops would be golden.
or better yet rather then plant out in the open put your crops under a roof then no need for scarecrow other then for farm decoration

Or plant with a scarecrow and don't bother with watering because the rain does the work. Depends on your preference / design choices.

with automated watering systems you can get near end game waters never an issue and you don't need to hand water it lke at the start of the planting before you get whats needed to auto water them
