Help Overheating 90c On a 7000$ computer fixxed :D
I bought a New alienware computer this year it has a RTX 3090 32 gigs of ram AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz

this computer cost me 7000$ canadain, It runs any game max settings very clean, dying light 2 full ray tracing, no overheat no notthing,

when i turn on Raft my computers goes from 50c to 90c really Fast when booting up just in the Start menu of the game not even playing, At the menu screen and it sits at 90c, I played around with the settings, turned every off put everything too the lowest settings, and it still sits at 90c all day and wont move,

I bought a bag of hard gummy worms. my bedroom is sooo hot from my computer from playing this game that my gummy worms have turned soft,

I have played over 20 hours now, with my computer at 90c

and i dont know if this is good or bad but no other game in the history of this world has ever made my computer run at 90.

I can played Beefed out Minecraft with 264x264 texture packs with Real life Shadders modded game looks soo real you wouldn't believe at 50-60c

and then when you fire up Raft it just jumps to 90c and stays at 90c

what is the deal with this game?

its not my computer I just bought it for 7000$ canadain its not even a year old

Edit:

Just ran by this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827319091 might help might not, hope you get it fixed
Don´t buy Alienware. No matter what. Build your own PC, it´s cheaper. Or inform yourself on the countless tech channels on YT before buying a prebuilt.
If a $7000 computer is overheating then its the biggest pile of crap there is.....
I spent 1400 on mine 6 years ago and never have i ever had an overheating issue...

What the hell are people doing to their machines??
Btw, if someone wants a somewhat amusing teardown of an expensive Alienware system:

A lot of full PCs you can buy are set up in incredibly stupid ways. Alienware is worse than usual, which is ironic, considering its a super overpriced "premium" brand.

Hence I'd recommend to everyone to go to a local PC specialist and build a PC for them. You'll get way more bang for your buck if they are even semi-capable.

yea thats what my computer looks like
Thats pretty much the same cost as mine but I include my two monitors in my costs. (Not keyboard or mouse)
I went in a different direction with my build.

That being said.... if you ever build another computer I'd recommend straight up building your own or getting a friend. All the major brands that prebuild it for you will rip you off and alienware is absolutely terrible and will cheap out in certain areas.

To give you an idea, your computer cost $7000 CAD which is around $5,430 US, which is... actually more than what I spent on mine.

i7 10700k
3090 FE
Maximus XII
64GB DDR4
paired with a 1440 144Hz 28' and a 4K 120/144Hz 28' monitor.

The only thing your setup outperforms mine is pretty much on the processor and thats debatable in certain games, if we are talking strictly games.

I reallllllllly hope you have a 4K monitor for the 3090 or at the very least a 1440, otherwise you really overspent on your setup by quite a lot unless you are streaming or doing something graphic related.

To each their own though, I still like your setup I just hope you weren't taken advantage of or over spent, but if you have the income who am I to judge? (:

Alienware used to be top of the line but all went downhill when Dell bought them.

Yeh all their PCs look like that.

Btw, its a good thing you actually noticed your PC going hot! When you see that happens, just use the things people suggested, especially framelimiter. Might also want to look into general downclocking if you got problems in the future.

Yea Thanks alot, everyone has been so helpful
alienware = 1990s case with a plastic shell and all it does it hotbox your components
Even for paying Canada bucks.. thats entirely too expensive for those parts.

You could of built it yourself with an even better case for about 4500 CAD. (roughly $3600k)

Alienware likely though because of the name they'd charge you an additional 2.5k CAD lol
If my memory is right Alienware and Dell Computers work together=Crap

best of both, you have dell for the non standard parts you can never replace and alienware which is an extra 2k just for the name, epic win
