Raft

Is there an "Advanced Painting" tool or something?
It's driving me absolutely insane that everything I paint looks like a complete, worthless amateur just slathered some color on it and called it good. Every single wall has patches of the original color, and it just looks like absolute garbage.

that sounds strange, it might even be a bug. is it possible you could post a picture?

You are making a paint brush out of seagull feathers and paint out of flowers rolled around in an empty steel drum, lit's not exactly professional quality stuff you are working with here.

hahahahah :D but it shouldn't "have patches of original color" as the op states... which is why i asked for a picture.

Many new players can't tell what is a bug and what is normal gameplay. So Bruce eating their raft magically becomes "their raft broke in half".

Or they haven't got the hang of the axe yet and "sections of their raft vanished".

What kind of wall are you painting? The solid wood has cleaner textures than the regular wood.
Have you set the paintbrush to use patterns, or a secondary color?

That one actually happens. The horizontal support pillars are buggy. So is the replace function on the hammer.

Painting the solid wall, no patterns - just a flat color. Tried painting with only a primary color selected, as well as with a primary + secondary. Image linked below.
