Careful with the new chickens

I was docked on the new island.
The giant chicken was throwing rocks in my boat and the rocks were crossing the roof. I died this way.

Yeah, I just died by anchoring by the big island and stepping away from the computer for a minute. The rocks came through two levels of raft above me. The red bird is relentless, and the bow and arrow is CRAP trying to shoot it. The bird changes directions randomly. Not a fan of it currently.

oha okaay yes i died..... hehe i did not know that the bird can kill me through the roof ^^ is this a bug ?

yeah, 3 layers of raft and I died to bird. Only safe spot I have found is the cave, seems he doesn't attack in there. Yeah the whole bow mechanic is just bad, definitely needs reworked if we are going to have to fight constant penetrating stone bombs.

Just got on the big island and the bird has attacked me once every 15 to 30 seconds. Just can't do anything on the Island like this. Because even if I move out of the way to not get hit by the rock, I still get damaged. Can't shoot it with the bow either because the range in combination with the speed of the arrow make it just impossible. Was able to hit it once with a metal arrow wen it landed, but it seemed like that didn't do anything. Trying to explore the Island is pointless because of this, because it doesn't matter what resources are on the Island if ou can't take them with you, because you end up dying before you can store whatever you found. Conclusion; the bird killed my character and my will to play the game. The concept of the bird is pretty cool, but the with the way it is now it's just too strong.

I already email the dev's. They know about the roof problem.
nd in hard mode you can not revive without a friend.
They should do something like that:
Normal Mode: (food / water / dmg normal)
Die> Release> Take your body with half items

Hard Mode: (Need for food / water and take more dmg)
Die> Relase> Lose all items

And add a Permadeath mode.
Hard mode looks like a permadeath if you don't have friends lol

Tried it again, if you hold shift you run and you can evade the birds attacks, also it helps if you move to the left or right just before the attack. You will know when it´s about to attack when you hear it´s screech. On another note apparently it´s called the screecher, according to the patchnotes.

Another good think is reinforcing the foundations so the shark need 4 attacks to destroy it.
and eating the new food before jumping int the big isle.
