Keep sailing with the wind and when the quest island is out of radar range it will respawn ahead of you

So your position on the radar is the blue dot with the 4 little blue arrows. Once you key in an island code on the receiver, the numbers on your dot indicate how far you are from that island. Also, if you're trying to get to Balboa or however it's spelled, you need an engine cos it's located against the current.

Just turn your boat and go a little distance, does the number on your dot get higher (further away) or lower (closer). Also pay attention to how quickly the numbers change, cos that indicates how fast you're moving towards it or away from it.

Your position on the radar in the exact center of the radar.
the blue dot with the 4 little blue arrows kis the next POI, like the radar tower or yacht

That guy is right the raft is the center of the radar. Blue dots are mission islands and green dots are regular islands.
* Also the numbers next to the dots are the distance from the island

wow you mean he wasn't pulling an April Fools? :D so funny. okay I will check, thank you both very much, I seem to recall not having a blue dot in the center of my radar but will pop into game and see

okay I just checked, there is no blue dot in the center of my radar. I am using mods but none of them should be doing anything to the radar. HOWEVER. yesterday I was screwing around, moving things, trying to upgrade my boaty boat. And noticed that I could have the receiver and antennas on different levels, which I think you're not supposed to be able to do without mods. Well I don't have that mod, I'm sure of it. And I never had that one.

So.... a bit confuddled here. But there is definitely no blue dot in the center of my radar. I've finished all the storyline so far, maybe that's why? Oh and apologies for hijacking Jadey's thread. Jadey, if you're still having trouble then jump back in, people will be glad to help you.

Read what people say.

We never said there should be a blue dot in the center of the radar.

The blue dot on MY radar is the position of the radar tower, you need to enter the code on the right side (0618), wich you can find in your book ( default key is T )

You can have an antenna half a floor above or below the receiver without a mod (height of a half pillar).

there is one destination in which you have to use the engine or paddle to get too. the game literally will make you fight the wind for this destination (the idea is to give you reason to make and use the engine blue print). some times large islands will also show up on the radar that are in a direction you cannot just sail to and will need engine or paddle to get too as well
