Raft
Does foundation armor prevent shark attack or just raise health?
I'm getting conflicting information online about it. Some say that the shark gives up attacking stuff with armor at 25%, so you have to constantly check on them and repair. Others say he won't attack stuff with foundation armor.

Before this patch, Sharks would still attack Armour foundation but it would just take 4-5 attacks before they could destroy the foundation.

After this last patch, they just do not attack them. So if your raft is all Armour foundation, no more shark attacks, but you would get instantly attacked when you jump in the water.

This is why the web has conflicting information, some of it is old and reporting how it was before this patch.

Most people do a full Armour foundation raft, but then build one extra non armour foundation, so the shark always attacks that one spot, allowing you to farm the shark instead!

Still, some info on the web is talking about BEFORE that update and others after, which is why there is conflicting information. I do not really care when that patch was

Full armored floor was rock solid for a long time. 6mt +

shark won't attack if all foundations are armored.. I have a big raft and I started to build a shark proof ship ;) it seems that it lasts forever to finish..

At the very least, shark prefers not-armored tiles. Leave it a few unimportant tiles and you can just ignore the next few attacks, and rebuild "shark food" tiles at any time before they are all gone.

Does he attack inner tiles at all or only the outer ones? Does everything need to have armor to prevent his attack then or just the outer rim?

He will attack inner pieces if not reinforced. All pieces of the raft reachable by the shark must be reinforced before the attacks completely cease. It is advisable to reinforce the nets and foundation pieces supporting other items (chests, smelters, walls) first that way you don't lose those as you gather more iron and nails.

I had a propably a bug where he actually attacked a triangle shaped reinforced piece and ignored normal one on the back of the ship (by now it is a huge tug boat). He destroyed it like a normal piece as well. Made a mistake of not placing solid block up front, but two triangle ones instead. Once I replaced it with normal block and reinforced, shark went for sacrificial pieces in the back.
