Did you see the bit in parentheses?
After you acquire an engine blueprint you may place equal amount of engines you required for your raft but vertical to your raft (assuming straight/face forward is horizontal)
And there's an even more advance way to rotate your raft, is acquire a control module (steering wheel) blueprint, and it will extend to any height til the bottom fin hits sea level.
How do you use the paddle to rotate the boat?
So far i know not possible in Vanilla until you have the steering wheel from the 2nd story island
you paddle the direction you want to turn? and you stand on the corner.
Ok, thanks. I hadn't tried that yet.
I mean its not effective, but it is what it is, helps more or less
And there are answers to choose from
a) Wooden Spear
b) Reinforced Spear
c) Arrows
d) Reinforced Arrows (or whatever they called I forgot)
All of them are effective against a shark, but some deal greater damage than the others.
Do you maybe have a mod installed you forgot ?
Yeah, I tried it and it didn't work.
From the past,
armed with a paddle,
' brushing and colliding ' against world statics like the floating abandoned raft or protruding island sections to
create small angles of divergence, rotates the raft alignment while looking at the streamer,
carefully and gradually direct the Flag in the flow of the wind.
( Flag end pointing away from the player )
But without this 30+ minute tactic (you first need a island or a raft you can use to turn your raft, and then you need to collide in the right angle and paddle maybe on top)
i see no vanilla way to turn your raft
If that happens too early i even prefer to restart the game intead of going through this hassle
I allready asked for implementing the "Turn your raft with the paddle" mod into the basis game. If you wish that too maybe open a thread in Suggestions or support a allready open thread. If so few moans no one cares
I just posted it there, and sent the same suggestion through their suggestions website. Even detailing exactly how it could work.
