What is the fastest and most efficient way to get metal and vine gooo

Ive Been playing raft for a while and still cant find a lot of metal or vine goo

you go around island, best way is go to caravan > last story node i forgot name and back n forth.

basically 2000 tiles away island resets.

Both metal ingots and vine goo are made in the smelter . Vine goo from seaweed and metal ingots from metal ore. You will need to dive to get both.

if you swim, dive around especially the small islands, you will often find both metal and copper on the sides of underwater cliff sides. You take it with your hook and throw it in your melter. I always look for and find it at the small islands ... Vine goo you will find around the larger islands in areas with high seaweed . Good luck!

i think you can make vine goo in a smelter or idk what its called but if u melt seaweed then you get vine goo

oh yes sorry, sorry my wrong answer in relation to vine goo, I of course also meant that one often find SEA WEED around the larger islands where high seaweed grows (which then changes in the melter to vine goo).

I've found the best way is to just go around to small islands and diving deep for the metal ore. Metal only spawns around tropical islands (around the radio tower and vasagatan, the first and second story area), so make sure you go to those types of islands if you want metal.

Got to small island, murder shark, dive and collect in peace, drift/sail to next island, repeat. Note if you murder the shark and harvest all the meat but let go before you take the head, the body stays around for a while which also delays the timer until the next shark shows up.

Lets answer that decent

You can loot Metal stuff from crates, but thats arround 10% of what you get if you dive for ore.

The decision to dive at small or at Large islands is not a so clear Black and white answer as it sounds

Small islands
+ Many ressources on a small area
- Most time your raft is so nearby that the sharks attack you during your harvest
- No special Ressources like Silver Algae or the Exploding fish

Large Islands
- Much swimming since the Ressources are far more Clustered
+ Most part of the Island is far away from the Raft and so Shark(s)
+ Special Loot like Silver Algae or the Exploding fish
+ Some of the big islands have very rewarding spots


Dont hurry it, you can spend much time on a island, so have enough planks (firewood) and Fish for Sharkbait. If you play on hard dont kill the Shark, if you kill the one shark 2 will respawn. Sharkbait last 80 second, thats arround the time to dive twice
