What happens when you lose your raft?

What happens if you fall off your raft with everything on it and can't catch up? Do you get teleported or do you have to just build a new one?

hit escape and wait for the unstuck button or die. either way you'll respawn on your raft

When someone answers and you become steam friends, open chat and Start game with friends can join when he is ready to join.

No fun if you as helper need to search the bodys of the crew 1000m away

You should be able to teleport back to your raft using the Unstuck function assuming your raft still exists and haven't been eaten by the shark. Simply stay still about half a minute, press ESC and click Unstuck.

Alternative would be dying (drowning yourself) and respawning back on raft but if you're playing normal, you lose everything in your inventory and on hard you can't respawn without someone carrying your carcass to a bed on your raft which might be difficult if you're lost at sea.

You can't build a new raft, only expand the one you start with so do try to keep it safe. If it's entirely destroyed, you'll need to restart the game or load a backup where it still exists.
