Another thing is after you complete balboa island, you will not find any more smaller islands with bears and honey. So make lots of metal arrows if you want more honey cause you need to go back to balboa for that honey.
Potatoes are common and you can grow massive quantities using a lot of small crop plots.
Also islands with honey will still appear after completing balboa. They are uncommon but you can still find them with the radar (green dots).
I have similar issues with shark meat, the correct number should be 13.3 potatoes as it requires 3 sharkmeat to full the refiner.
Egg is 5.7 ( 7 eggs fill the refiner)
Raw meat is 6.66 (6 raw meat fills the refiner)
Take the puffer head for example: it takes 2 heads to fill one refiner up. But if you use 1 puffer head and 10 potatoes the refiner fills up as well. Thus it is calculated as [40 - 10 = 30].
So if the puffer was worth 20 potatoes like you would suggest, than i would have to add 20 potatoes to fill it up after just 1 puffer head. But that was not the case.
I used the same method of partially filling the refiner with the food i am test and filling the remainder with potatoes to get accurate values on all other foods.
Just another question:
If Mackarel / tilapia = 6.5, does this mean 6*6.5 = 39 to 40 you need 1 extra potato. Or maybe this is due to rounding
Makes me chuckle when thinking of potatoes being used as a measurement unit.
I'm lamenting all the pufferfish heads I've left to the sea...
I don't know it's potato value but it's pretty good, filled my tank up about 1/3 of the way.
