You'll be the first dedicated Persistant world for Raft.
I'd like dedicated servers too tbh, but from the sounds of it we should probably be thankful there's even multiplayer
I am not looking for yet another single player survival game.
Multiplayer only when your on means my mates would not have access to Thier rafts when I am at work etc.
Peer to peer multiplayer just doesn't suit this genre, it's better than nothing but just not good enough for me.
Does that make this a bad game? No
Does this mean I say avoid it? No
It is just it doesn't fit with the style of play I like so I have refunded
Also no way would I leave my pc on 24/7 that's what server hosts are for *shrug*
There is only one raft, each player is on the same raft. This isn't an open world survival game like Minecraft where other players can do their own thing. The game world is centered around the raft and as it moves the world is generated in front of it and destroyed behind it.
The game is story driven and while it may look like an open world there are a finite number of places to visit outside of the story locations.
