Goat disappeared
Okay so I finally catch a goat and I didnt like put her somewhere she could stay so I leaved her totally free without any wall or little space for it, after some rain and waves the goat disappeared, does this mean that its ded and I had to put walls around the goat to not let it escape or something.

edit* i dont know how to explain and my English is not native so sorry if its not understandable

You need to wall them in, and also they need fresh grass that grows from dirt patches that you place and water. If they don't have that yummy grass they will just die really fast.

when logging out,... ANCHOR your raft.
when logging in,... check your critters FIRST thing before moving.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I've found they are more like the wicked witch and when they touch water that's it. The only way I ever kept any alive was by building an extra deck on top of my raft and keeping them fenced in up there. Keep them lower down and when a wave washes over your raft, welp, time to melt through the floorboards and die.

Nope, they don't die anymore because of hunger. But you still need to put walls though or they might walk off the raft u_u And yes if there's a big wave, they'll probably get carried by it. You can go get them in the water but the problem is if you're moving and don't notice the animal has fallen then it will just stay there while you sail away and get lost.

dude.
do as i said and you WONT lose any more animals.
they can "load in" poorly when you start the game and clip through barriers and fall into the water before they have properly loaded if they were near a barrier when you logged off.

I been 29 hours with the anchor dropped next to a big island farming, the raft its not even moving. What about load? I let the goat there save the game and dont even exit, I countiune playing and after returning from the island the goat disappear.

well THATS new info.
yeah,... youre game is bugged then.
i dont think theres too much you can do except wait until they fix the game.
did you at least check the water nearby to make sure he isnt floating?
maybe even UNDER the raft?

As I said, the goat was inside where the dot is pointing (screenshot).

Edit. Basically 2 levels higher than the floor.

You should probably contact support then, explain your case and maybe send your game file.

being "inside" or "2 floors up", doesnt matter.
the animal can STILL end up in the water upon loading the game or leaving the rafts render range.
but i agree with others...
if you had it after you began a game session and it disappeared while you were STILL in the game, it is most likely a BUG.

Someone ACTUALLY answered and someone SAID maybe should CONTACT to SUPPORT you DO NOT need to post a comment of WHAT doesn't matter and WHAT does, I DO NOT need you to AGREE with others. Its like someone tells me to contact to support and ended the discussion and YOU post an USELESS comment - edit"
