Note that Caravan Island also had a bunch of ziplines, probably to act as a delivery system (the Forest-style) or for fast travel between the neighborhoods.
Because who wants to carry stuff from building to building?
Plus...they are golf carts. Golf carts are used everywhere for things many consider "why bother?"
The biggest answer is laziness coupled with greater haulage capacity.
Why do some security patrols use a Segway when they could just as easily walk?
Because they CAN.
this is a good explanation
wanna take a crack at explaining why there are truck tyres on the streets of tangaroa?
Or maybe they got nostalgic for mosquito infestations and wanted to pile up a bunch of wet smelly tires for nests
lol It's heavily implied by your title and topic sentence after it, as well as your response in this thread, you don't have to say it. You call out the writers to explain such a feature on the island, enough said. I called you out on it and now you're trying to be technical about wording to back out, an old and tested classic response on the net.
I didn't "call out" the writers. The first response (before being edited) said that it would be interesting to know more on this from the writers, which I simply agreed on.
And yes, if you want to know the "implicit" from the person who wrote it : I do find cars silly in this place. Is this opinion an infraction? It also means that at first glance I'm questioning this choice by the devs. But to extend that to "being inexcusable" is only your interpretation.
